My baby is officially a one-year-old (Okay, okay - her birthday is actually tomorrow)! AND she just started sleeping through the night! #Hallelujah

Marigold, as it turns out, doesn't have much of a sweet tooth and doesn't like to get her hands dirty. The frosting you see on her face is from me giving her a taste with my fingers, she probably only had about two mouthfuls. This "session" (I use that term loosely, the whole thing took about 15 minutes. I would have given it more time, but I was working alone) took place during what should have been her nap time. She was happy to try something new, but after her bath in the sink and a little nursing, she passed out.

Why am I telling you this? Because 75% of my cake smash clients have been like Marigold! And the moms always say "I'm so sorry he/she wasn't more interested or messy". PLEASE DON'T APOLOGIZE! I just want to show you that the end result whether you have a messy baby or a more reserved baby is always the same... fun milestone memories and cute pictures to go along with it! And, in my case, half of this DELICIOUS cake from the Ultimate Pastry Shop in downtown Sewickley, Pa is untouched - so I'm going to eat it! Win, Win!

If you are in the Sewickley, Pa area and are interested in a Cake Smash session, feel free to contact me! I generally gravitate towards in-home cake smashes so that clean up is easy and you're not driving with a frosted baby. You can tell me a theme you had in mind OR we could do something simple, like I did with Marigold here.
