My first client session blog post! Hip Hip Hurray! This is an anniversary shoot I did for Molly and Scott. They did not have a photographer present on their wedding day, back in March of 2014, so we wanted to get some pictures of Molly in this baller dress. I also really like documentary photography and stylized wedding shoots, so I tried to combine those two styles and put a little of my own flavor in there. I hope you like it!
Molly and Scott are a creative, fashionable, fun, funky fresh couple, who are self-proclaimed homebodies—and I adore them! Scott is handy AF and has a very calming demeanor, all the while being subtly hilarious. Molly is this rainbow of a person whose art and creativity literally pours out of her fingertips. Everything she touches turns into a piece of art (even her wrapped presents at Christmas are glorious!). My daughters’ room is filled with décor designed and painted by Molly. She has also stepped in numerous times to watch my girls at a moment’s notice! Molly and Scott are both kind, old souls that Mark and I feel very lucky to call friends.
Anywho – enough about them ;)! I was very excited to do this shoot in their home and then in this park, which is just a couple minutes’ walk from the house. There are no florists, bakeries, hair or make-up artists to give credit to for this shoot. Everything you see has been made or collected by these two wonderful people over the years.
Here’s to wishing these two lovebirds many more moons of creating, antique hunting, dog walking, and coffee drinking!
Happy Anniversary!
